Kyle Kuzma - Los Angeles Lakers: Too Much Swagger or Poor Weight Acceptance?

Kuuuuuuuuuuuuuzma, new fan favorite and (possibly slighted) top candidate for rookie of the year. He is almost as infamous for his dress and style as his Kareem sky hook he is bringing back to the NBA. But is it just style or "swagger" or something more? Watching Kuzma and analyzing his mechanics and posture, a few things can be seen:

Tale of the Tape:

  • Poor weight acceptance on the right leg
  • Decreased right hip mobility
  • Limited hip and Lumbar flexion with excessive thoracic  flexion
  • Decreased left spinal rotation

Injury Risks:

Right knee pain (High)

Right Oblique strain (Low)

Right ankle sprain (High)

Kyle Kuzma is just getting started. He is on his way to an all star career that can attract high profile stars and contribute to future championship runs, if he could just address his (cough) swagger.
